Welcome to Following the Whispers blog

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit. Hope you enjoy your stay. I blog here on Monday and Tuesday. This blog was created at the time my memoir came out, in February, 2009. Its motto was: creating a life of inner peace and self-acceptance from the depths of despair.

"ONLY ONE THING IS MORE FRIGHTENING THAN SPEAKING YOUR TRUTH, AND THAT IS NOT SPEAKING IT." Naomi Wolf

"We are called human beings, not human doings."
Wes Nisker, Buddhist teacher

"The way to do is to be."

About Me

I don't wish to be defined by what I do. Instead, I wish to be known for who I am. For 30+ years, I had a successful career in marketing and public relations. Since 1999, I've been writing full-time. My first book, a memoir, "Following the Whispers," was published in 2009. Prior to that, I published essays and articles in newspapers and magazines. I am currently trying my hand at fiction, as well as a non-fiction book on aging. I write, sing, folkdance, play the guitar, read voraciously, hike, and love hanging out with friends, laughing, talking and playing games.I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my husband, Gary, and our dog, Buddy.
