Thank you so much for taking the time to visit. Hope you enjoy your stay. I blog here whenever I feel the need. This blog was created at the time my memoir came out, in February, 2009. Its motto was: creating a life of inner peace and self-acceptance from the depths of despair. Now, my focus is sharing this journey we call life.

Halloween and my book signing

Well, my blog tour is just about over. I have one more stop in November. On Saturday, which was supposed to be the official launch date, I am having a book signing at a local metaphysical bookstore, Blue Eagle Metaphysical Emporium. 

It is fitting that I do this on that day, as Halloween is the Wiccan sabbath, Samhain, a day when the veil between the human world and the Spirit world is the thinnest. It is similar to All Saints Eve in that respect.

My story is about connecting to the Divine or God or whatever you choose to call the energy or intelligence that makes the universe work.

Insecure Writers Support Group - October

Thank you Alex http://www.alexjcavanaugh.blogspot.com for creating The Insecure Writer's Support Group. I really need it this month. I don't think it's because I'm insecure, although ya never know with me. I think it's because I'm super excited that my debut novel, The Wishing Steps is due out on October 31. I won't say that I don't have anxiety about it. I do. But I think the excitement is overriding the anxiety.

I think writers always worry about what others will think of what they wrote. In this case, I really have to let go of that because I am so sure I was called to write this book because of the way the story came to me.

I'm not going to share that story here today because I'll be posting on several other blogs all during the month of October sharing parts of that story. But suffice it to say, the journey from the time I heard a voice in Scotland ask me to tell its story, to now, when the story is about to be released into the world, became a deep and profound spiritual one for me. One I am deeply grateful for.
